Braces
Braces use gentle, controlled pressure to gradually move your teeth into healthier, more functional positions. Throughout treatment, your braces are continuously working to guide your teeth and improve your bite.
We use traditional metal or esthetic ceramic brackets to provide effective orthodontic treatment. Both options are designed to improve tooth alignment and bite function while creating a healthy, beautiful smile that can last a lifetime.
Metal Braces
Traditional metal braces remain a popular and effective treatment option for children and teens. Today’s metal braces are smaller, more comfortable, and more streamlined than ever before.
Metal braces consist of two primary components: brackets that are carefully bonded to each tooth and an archwire that connects the brackets. Together, they apply gentle, controlled forces that gradually move the teeth into their ideal positions as the supporting bone remodels around them.
Some patients may also need elastics (rubber bands) to help correct specific bite concerns. When prescribed, elastics are an important part of treatment and should be worn as directed and replaced regularly to maintain the proper force.
With good cooperation and proper care, metal braces can effectively correct a wide range of orthodontic concerns and help create a healthy, confident smile.
