The clear plastic aligners are virtually invisible, so most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them. For many patients, clear aligners can achieve results comparable to traditional metal braces.

Unlike traditional braces, clear aligners are removable. This allows you to brush and floss your teeth without the interference of brackets and wires, helping you maintain excellent oral hygiene throughout treatment. You can also remove your aligners to enjoy your favorite foods and beverages without the dietary restrictions associated with traditional braces.

Made from smooth, BPA-free plastic, clear aligners are designed to fit comfortably over your teeth without the irritation that metal brackets and wires can sometimes cause. Clear aligners offer a convenient, comfortable treatment option for teens and adults who want to improve their smiles with minimal impact on their daily lives.

How Do Clear Aligners Work?

We begin with digital photos and a digital 3D scan of your teeth to create a detailed three-dimensional image of your smile. Using this information, we can map out the precise movements of your teeth and create a virtual preview of your expected results.

Based on your customized treatment plan, a series of clear aligners will be created specifically for you. The aligners fit comfortably over your teeth and can be removed for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.

Approximately every 7–10 days, you’ll switch to a new set of aligners that gradually move your teeth toward their ideal positions. Throughout treatment, you’ll visit our office approximately every six to ten weeks so we can monitor your progress and make sure everything is moving as planned.

How Long Will I Have to Wear Clear Aligners?

Treatment time varies depending on your individual orthodontic needs and treatment goals. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your estimated treatment timeline and what you can expect throughout the process.

What About Special Occasions or Playing Sports?

Clear aligners are removable, making them an excellent choice for special occasions, meals, athletic activities, and musical performances. Simply follow your orthodontist’s instructions regarding when to wear and remove your aligners to keep your treatment progressing on schedule.
