Meet the Team

Dr. Nate

With over 15 years of dedicated practice as an orthodontist, I am passionate about creating healthy, beautiful smiles that boost my patients’ confidence. My educational journey began at Denison University, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics before pursuing my Dental degree at The Ohio State University. I then specialized further by completing my Master’s in Orthodontics at St. Louis University. Combining a strong foundation in science and aesthetics, I take pride in providing personalized, top-tier orthodontic care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

Outside the clinic, my greatest joy is spending quality time with my family. I am happily married to my wife, Tana, and together we are proud parents to our two sons, Andrew and Brandon. You can usually find us traveling to support the boys at hockey games, tennis matches, and golf tournaments. When we aren’t at a sporting event, I enjoy exploring new cultures and destinations around the globe while working toward my lifelong goal of visiting every continent.

Dr. Theresa

As the daughter of an orthodontist, I was introduced to the profession at an early age. I had the opportunity to see firsthand the joy and confidence a beautiful, healthy smile can create, and I quickly knew that orthodontics was the career I wanted to pursue.

In 2015, I was honored to join my dad and brother in our family orthodontic practice. I love building meaningful relationships with our patients and being part of their lives throughout their orthodontic journey. Watching their smiles transform—and seeing the confidence that comes with a new smile—is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

I live in Hartville with my husband, Nate, and our two children, Brooks and Lucy. I love making memories with my family and enjoying every stage of our children’s lives. Outside of work and family, I enjoy playing golf, staying active through physical fitness, and reading.

Dr. Nick

Since establishing my orthodontic practice in 1980, I have had the privilege of creating confident smiles for families throughout Stark and Summit Counties. Over the past four decades, it has been incredibly rewarding to care for generations of patients, build lasting relationships, and be part of a community that has meant so much to me.

Outside of orthodontics, family has always been at the heart of my life. I have been happily married to my wife, Jeanette, for 50 years, and I especially cherish the time I spend with my grandchildren, making memories that I will treasure forever.

Now enjoying retirement, I spend my days pursuing some of my favorite hobbies, including fly fishing, improving my golf game, and tending to my yard. But don’t worry—you’ll still see me around the office from time to time! I’m looking forward to enjoying retirement while staying connected to the wonderful patients, families, and team who have been such an important part of my life.

Looking back on my career, I feel truly grateful for the many smiles, friendships, and memories along the way. It has been an honor to serve this community for so many years, and I will always cherish the relationships that have made my journey in orthodontics so rewarding.

Kristin

Chief Operating Officer / Treatment Coordinator

I began my career with Mellion Orthodontics in 2005 as a Clinical Assistant and have had the opportunity to grow within the practice through several different roles, including Scheduling Coordinator and Treatment Coordinator. Today, I serve in a dual role as Chief Operating Officer and Treatment Coordinator.

One message I especially want our younger patients to understand is that orthodontic treatment is about so much more than creating a beautiful smile. While a great smile is certainly something to look forward to, orthodontics also plays an important functional role. Creating a healthy, properly aligned bite can help teeth function better and support long-term dental health.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids. We love being out on the water, especially boating on Lake Erie, and making memories together as a family. I also enjoy giving back to our community by volunteering with 4-H, an organization that has allowed me to support and encourage young people as they learn, grow, and develop new skills.

Chief of Administration

I’ve been a proud member of the Mellion Orthodontics family since March 1985. After more than four decades with the practice, I’m grateful to bring my experience, leadership, and genuine care to my role as Chief of Administration.

One of the things I take the most pride in is helping create a welcoming and positive experience for our patients and families while supporting our wonderful team and the continued success of the practice.

One of my favorite parts of my career has been watching generations of families experience their orthodontic journeys together. From welcoming children into our practice to seeing those same patients return years later with families of their own, I truly treasure the lasting relationships I’ve built throughout the years.

Outside of the office, I love spending time with my husband, Bill. We enjoy relaxing on beach vacations, spending summer days by the pool, working together to landscape our yard, and ending the day sitting on our deck together. I am so thankful to God for all of His blessings.

Chief of Clinical Operations

I started my journey with Mellion Orthodontics in 1998 as a Clinical Assistant. Today, I’m grateful to serve as the Chief of Clinical Operations.

What I love most about orthodontics is being part of giving someone a beautiful smile. I enjoy getting to know our patients during the time they spend with us and want every patient to have an uplifting experience so they feel comfortable and happy when they leave our office.

My faith in God is at the center of my life. I cherish spending time with my husband and son. I’m a baseball mom, and as a family we love beach vacations, attending baseball games, and trying new cuisine together.

Treatment Coordinator

As a Treatment Coordinator, I’ve spent the last three decades doing what I love most: helping patients feel informed, cared for, and excited about their orthodontic treatment. I’m here to answer your questions, help you feel confident in your decisions, and make your orthodontic journey as smooth as possible.

One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing the confidence that comes with a transformed smile.

Outside of the office, I’m married to my best friend, a mom of two, and a very proud grandma. My favorite days are spent outdoors with my family and grandson—camping, boating, or simply making memories together.

Renee

Scheduling Coordinator

I’ve been a valued member of the Mellion Orthodontics team since 2011, and one of my favorite parts of my job is getting to see our patients and be part of their orthodontic journeys.

There’s nothing quite like the excitement of the big day when a patient finally gets their braces off! I love seeing their smiles and excitement—it’s safe to say I’m almost as happy as they are!

Outside of the office, I enjoy reading, dancing, DrumFit, Zumba, and spending time with friends. I also love spending time with my dogs and enjoying all the little moments that make life special.

Some of my favorite memories are from trips to Disney World. There’s just something magical about the “Happiest Place on Earth,” and I’m definitely hoping to make my way back there again someday!

Scheduling Coordinator

I have been a member of the Mellion Orthodontics team for 10 years as Scheduling Coordinator in the Massillon office. My position allows me the pleasure of being the first to welcome each patient to our office and coordinate their next visit before they leave. I’m also responsible for communicating information from the front office to the doctors and clinical staff, helping ensure the schedule runs smoothly.

I’m grateful to spend my workday with people I consider friends, and I truly enjoy helping create a welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

I have been married to my husband, Joe, for 35 years, and we have two daughters. I enjoy gardening, organizing trips with family and friends, and attending Broadway shows whenever I can.

As empty nesters, we’ve combined our love of travel and baseball by visiting Major League Baseball stadiums across the country. Although I’ve lived in Ohio for many years, I’m still a California girl at heart!

Scheduling Coordinator

I’ve been part of the Mellion Orthodontics team for the past three years. One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to know our patients and their families while helping make each visit a positive experience.

Outside of the office, I enjoy cooking, baking, spending time outdoors, and being with my family. I’ve been married to my husband, Tom, for 37 years, and we have two wonderful sons, Branden and Ryan.

Scheduling Coordinator

I’m the newest Scheduling Coordinator at Mellion Orthodontics, bringing 21 years of experience to the practice. I’m excited to be part of the Mellion Orthodontics team and enjoy using my knowledge and experience to help our patients and families.

One of my favorite parts of my role is getting to know our patients and helping make each visit feel positive, welcoming, and stress-free. Building those relationships and knowing I can make a difference in someone’s experience is incredibly rewarding.

Outside of work, I love making the most of my free time. I enjoy motorcycle trips, traveling to new destinations, hiking, spending time outdoors, and attending sporting events whenever I get the chance.

I became part of the Mellion Orthodontics team in February 2020 as a Clinical Assistant. I truly enjoy working alongside such a wonderful group of people and being part of a team that helps create confident, healthy smiles.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing the confidence on our patients’ faces once their orthodontic treatment is complete. Being part of that transformation makes every day meaningful.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, hiking, relaxing by my pool, and playing card games.

I’ve been happily married to my husband, Scott, for 25 years, and together we have three sons and one daughter.

Clinical Assistant

I’ve been working as a Clinical Assistant since May 2022 and truly enjoy working with our patients and being part of the orthodontic field. I especially enjoy building relationships with patients and helping them feel comfortable, confident, and supported throughout their treatment.

Outside of work, I’m a big fan of sports cars and enjoy attending car meets and checking out different vehicles. I also enjoy shopping, spending time with family, and making the most of my free time.

I’m always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and continue developing my skills so I can provide the best experience possible for our patients.

Clinical Assistant

I joined the Mellion Orthodontics team as a Clinical Assistant in April 2025. I really enjoy being part of the Mellion team and helping create a positive, comfortable experience for our patients. It’s rewarding to be part of a team that helps patients feel confident throughout their orthodontic journey.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and giving back to my church community. I especially enjoy volunteering in the nursery and spending time with the little ones.

I also love to bake! One of my favorite things is making homemade treats and sharing them with my family and friends. There’s nothing better than seeing someone enjoy something I’ve made.

I joined the Mellion Orthodontics team as a Clinical Assistant in April 2026. I really enjoy being part of a team that helps our patients feel comfortable, confident, and supported throughout their orthodontic experience. It’s exciting to be part of their journey and see their smiles transform!

Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, especially hiking and exploring new places. I also enjoy being around animals and listening to all kinds of music. I’m pretty easygoing and love finding ways to enjoy the simple things in life.

I joined the Mellion Orthodontics team as a Clinical Assistant in April 2026. I’m excited to be part of a team that helps patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow my skills, getting to know our patients and families, and being part of their smile transformations.

I’m a caring and sensitive person who always gives everything my all. I’m happily married to my husband, Sean, and I’m a proud mom to boy-girl twins and an older bonus daughter. My family means the world to me and is a huge part of who I am.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me cheering my kids on at their sports and celebrating all of their accomplishments. I also love spending time outdoors, especially fishing and relaxing at the beach. Family, being outdoors, and making memories with the people I love are some of my favorite things.

I’ve been a proud part of the Mellion Orthodontics family for the past 18 years. As our Lab Director, I have the opportunity to work behind the scenes creating the high-quality orthodontic appliances that help our patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles.

With nearly five decades of experience in the field, I’ve developed a passion for precision, attention to detail, and doing my very best in everything I create. I’m grateful to be part of such a wonderful team and to have built so many meaningful relationships throughout the years.

When I’m not at the office, you’ll usually find me working in my garden, reading a good book, or crocheting. I love having these hobbies to enjoy in my free time!
